5 Best Things About Easter And Why.

Happy Easter everybody! Today has been a great and relaxing day for me... I hope you enjoyed this 2017 Easter as much as I did! Anyway, Easter is a great holiday because it (1) it symbolizes the resurrection of Christ, (2) it is an excuse to eat unhealthy (mainly candy), and (3) it is great opportunity to grow closer to your family and friends. But what are the top 5 best things about Easter? And why?

1. You get candy.

I am just gonna throw that one out there first. Even if you are a "healthy eater", everyone has something sweet. And on Easter, you won't get yelled at! Great, huh?

2. You get school/work off.

The second thing that makes Easter so great is that everyone has work or school off. No problems or things to get done like paperwork. In fact most kids get a whole week off! I'm here saying, "What the heck?"

3. Family and friends can come and "hang out".

It's fun when you can just relax and hang out with the people you love. Today, I just played some volleyball with friends and ate a WHOLE lot of food! On Easter, unless you have to cook 5 meals, you can relax! There really is not a whole lot of pressure. (Even if you do have to cook a few meals.)

4. Easter egg hunts.

Now, even if adults are really mature, they always love a good Easter egg hunt! They are so much fun! Everyone is out there hiding eggs and finding yummy treasures inside!

5. Celebrating Christ and the resurrection.

Even if you are not a Believer in that sort of stuff, there is a sense of happiness and delight in this day. I think part of that is because we feel like have been given a whole new life, a new chapter, a fresh start. That is a reason to celebrate!
